Hi, I’m Alana Evans! I have been at ACS since February of 2011. I’ve been blessed to see God’s plan for ACS come to life, watching Him take the school from 75 students to over 300! ACS thrives by God’s grace and guidance. I have taught so many different areas- 3rd-12th English, 3rd-12th Social Studies/History, 7th grade Technology, 10th grade speech- just to name a few. Currently, I am teaching 10th grade World History, 11th grade U.S. History, 12th grade Economics and Government, and 10th grade Speech. 

 

I graduated from the University of Houston in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and a minor in English. In 2015, I graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with a masters in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. In 2010, I decided I wanted to become a teacher and got my certification. 

 

I married my husband, Steven Evans, in 2019. He had 3 children prior to our marriage who live with us- Brooke (17), Josh (15), and Brandon (13). Together he and I have 2 daughters- Sophie (4), and Brielle (1 ½). I love to travel and see the world, and any chance I get we talk about the world around us. Travel is my true passion. My husband owns a remodeling business and I own a travel agency. Our lives are busy, but God has blessed us immensely.
